Receiving Payment and Payout Statements

Yuup policy regarding payment to its hosts can be found on the 'Terms and Conditions' tab of the Host Portal menu. If you are a published host and cannot find this tab, please select Settings and find our Terms and Conditions under the dropdown menu.

Receiving Payments from Yuup

Hosts will receive their payments from Yuup after the experience has been delivered, assuming there have not been any issues raised by the attending customers.

Yuup generates and sends an invoice for host payouts every Wednesday of the week, delivering the money to the host every Friday morning.

The Yuup platform will wait 3 working days after the day of the experience before the booking is marked as Completed. You can find the list of Completed bookings under the Bookings tab from the menu on the left-hand side of the Portal Screen.

By clicking View Full Booking under a Completed booking, the host will be given a breakdown of the payout for that specific booking.

Only bookings that have been marked as Completed before Wednesday (the day payouts are generated and invoices are sent to hosts) will have payments delivered to the host the following Friday. If the booking has not been marked as Completed before the upcoming Wednesday, the payout will be moved onto the following week.

Hypothetical A:
A host delivers an experience on Saturday, 7th January. The customer attends and enjoys the experience without any issues. The booking is marked as Completed 3 days after the experience, on Tuesday evening, 10th January.

The payout is generated the Wednesday after, 11th Jan and delivered to the host on the following Friday, 13th January.

Hypothetical B:
A host delivers an experience on Monday, 9th January. The customer attends and enjoys the experience without any issues. The booking is marked as Completed 3 days after the experience on Thursday evening, 12th January.

As the booking had not been marked as Completed before the Wednesday (11th January) of that week, the host will not be paid on Friday, 13th January. Instead, the host will receive their invoice for this booking on the Wednesday after, (15th January) and receive their payment on the Friday, 17th January.

On the rare occasion that a customer raises on issue with the experience they have attended, a member of the Yuup team will be in touch with the host as soon as possible. If required, the payout to the host for that booking may be temporarily paused by a Yuup admin.

If you are unable to find a booking you believe to have been completed, its recommended that you search under the Bookings tab -> All Bookings where the host can search by Booking State and Customer Name.

Payout Statements & Analytics

If you wish to see a forecast of sales revenue before the experiences have been delivered, this can be viewed on the Analytics tab of the Host Portal menu.

This will display the upcoming revenue to be received (after Yuup commission has been subtracted – so the display is what the host will receive).

Experiences delivered refers to Completed bookings that the host has been paid for. The sum is representative of after commission.

Experiences scheduled but not delivered refers to upcoming Confirmed bookings that have not yet taken place or been marked as Completed.

Experiences not yet scheduled are dateless bookings that can be found under the To be scheduled tab from your Bookings. These will not be paid to the host until after the experience has been Confirmed on a date and later Completed.

Experiences scheduled but not delivered refers to upcoming Confirmed bookings that have not yet taken place or been marked as Completed.

Experiences not yet scheduled are dateless bookings that can be found under the To be scheduled tab from your Bookings. These will not be paid to the host until after the experience has been Confirmed on a date and later Completed

Actual sales from Completed Experiences will display what has already been paid out to the host for each specific experience, whilst the Forecast is what the host is set to receive from the bookings they have currently Confirmed. Both sums are after Yuup commission has been subtracted.

Payout invoices will be emailed to hosts every Wednesday (if they completed bookings), though this can also be viewed in the Payments -> Payouts tabs in the Host Portal menu.

This picture breaks down all previous Yuup payouts by week. To download the invoice select View Full Detail and then Download on the following page.

For the Monthly Statements, hosts will note the differing Booking types: Online, Guest and Direct.

An Online booking refers to a regular booking from a Yuup user.

A Guest booking will be from a customer who has purchased without using a Yuup customer account and has opted to buy without signing up to the website.

A Direct booking will have come through a Direct booking link shared by the host which will have a different rate to Yuup’s standard 20%.

Note that a Guest booking may also be a Direct booking but appears as a Guest. Check the Yuup commission in the Monthly Statement to see whether this customer came through a Direct Booking link.

*Please note that Yuup is no longer accepting Paypal to transfer funds. Hosts must provide details for direct Bank Transfer. If your bank account is not being accepted by the platform, please contact a member of the Yuup team.
