New update to help families find the perfect experience
We’ve introduced new age-specific sub-categories within Family & Kids to make it easier for customers to find experiences that are just right for their children. When you create or edit your experience, you’ll now see options to choose from:
Family & Kids 0–3 years
Family & Kids 3–5 years
Family & Kids 6–9 years
Family & Kids 10–12 years
Family & Kids 13–17 years
By selecting the most suitable age group, your listing will appear in the right search results, helping you connect with the families who will get the most from your experience.
Why categorisation by age matters
Just as the right activity category helps guests find your experience, choosing the most relevant age range ensures the right families find it. When your experience matches the appropriate age bracket:
- Families spot it quickly - within filters, recommendations, and lists tailored to their child’s age
- Expectations align - helping avoid disappointment from mismatched activities
- You attract engaged customers - leading to smoother bookings and happier guests
Our age categories at a glance
Family & Kids 0–3 years: Soft sensory play, simple movement, first exposure to shared activities. Mother & baby activities are welcome here!
Family & Kids 3–5 years: Guided creative play, imaginative storytelling, early learning experiences.
Family & Kids 6–9 years: Hands-on exploration, beginner-level workshops, active play.
Family & Kids 10–12 years: Skill-building sessions, more complex creative or physical activities.
Family & Kids 13–17 years: Teen-focused adventures, more challenging acitivities, social or independence-oriented events.
How to choose the right fit

- Lead with the main activity
What are attendees coming for? A messy play and music session with soft toys would be perfect for 0–3 years, while a hands-on painting workshop or beginner’s baking class might be ideal for 6–9 years. - Put yourself in your customers' shoes
Picture browsing for your child’s age. Which age bracket makes them think instantly, “this is for us”? Don’t worry if your experience is designed for a specific age group - parents would much rather book something that’s a perfect match for their child than risk an activity that feels too babyish or is too advanced to follow. - Resist overlap
If your event straddles two groups, lean into the range that represents the core experience. For instance, a messy paint workshop may span 3–5 and 6–9, but if it’s about texture and discovery, 3–5 may be the stronger fit. - Prioritise clarity for parents
Avoid uncertainty - parents want to know their child is in the right age group without confusion. Avoid putting your experience in every age bracket if it doesn't fit!
