Paddleboarding Harbourside Adventure

Join SUP Bristol for a stand-up paddleboarding adventure and the chance to see Bristol’s floating harbour from a brand new perspective.

Starting with the basic techniques, you’ll first get to grips with how to stand and paddle. Anyone with previous experience will be able to pick up some more advanced skills too. You’ll then put your paddling techniques into action on a mini adventure through the exciting, historical waterways of the harbourside. You’ll paddle past the SS Great Britain and beyond in this fun, two hour experience on Bristol’s harbour.

Foraging & Wild Plant Walk: Vallis Vale

Hosted by seasoned forager Samantha, you will spend this walk getting to know some of the local plants and learning about their herbal and culinary properties, history, folklore and how to identify them safely.

You will also learn about toxic look-a-likes and how to wild-harvest plants sustainably. There will be opportunities to get to know the plants in a tactile way, touching, smelling and sometimes tasting them! All walks are deeply rooted in a love for the Earth and reciprocity, and your host will discuss how we can lessen our impact and protect biodiversity.

Bristol from the Bridge: Geology Walking Tour

During this two-hour walk, discover Bristol’s history and explore the City through the stories of the land beneath your feet!

Your host Mathilde will guide you on a circular route from the Clifton Suspension Bridge, taking in some of the city’s iconic views and monuments whilst revealing the rocky history of Bristol’s past. She will weave together the city's geological and human history through its folk stories, architecture and industry.

This walk is for you if you want to explore the city’s landscape and history. Whether you're a Bristol resident or new to the area, you will leave with a fresh perspective on the rocks which are part of our everyday lives.
