Say Yuup to Birmingham: Announcing the official West Midlands launch

Last updated on Friday 28 June 2024

Good morning, Birmingham!

When we launched Yuup in our home city of Bristol just 15 months ago it was always the plan that Bristol would be the first step in a much bigger journey. 29,000 experience bookings and £750,000 generated for local Bristol indie businesses later, today we take the next big step in our exciting journey.

Yuup is now live in Birmingham with over 90 experiences and more than 60,000 places available to book throughout the summer!

We’ve been joined at launch in Birmingham by some incredible local, independent hosts offering a fantastic range of experiences- canal boat gin tasting, circus skills, film screenings, flower arranging, knitting, life drawing, perfumery, photography, rock climbing, silver jewellery making, sustainable skincare, Vietnamese cooking, walking tours, and wine tasting to name a few.

There are many more Birmingham experiences in the pipeline; from established local businesses looking to generate additional income streams, to side hustlers using the Yuup platform to share their passion for the first time while earning some extra cash.

Today our launch campaign kicks off in Birmingham. We’ll be on billboards at over 100 locations across the city, so look out for us! We’ve invested in extensive organic and paid social activity, an influencer campaign, PR, and search marketing and created partnerships with major Birmingham employers, media outlets, and civic organisations.

We want to celebrate Birmingham’s incredible independent businesses and the first Yuup hosts to partner with us in the Midlands. They deserve recognition for the brilliant work that they do, so please share with your friends and networks in the West Midlands and encourage them to get out there and Say Yuup!

We’re also keen to hear from many more creators and independent businesses in the West Midlands who would like to host experiences and join us on the Yuup journey. They can sign-up for free!

Positive social impact is at the heart of what we do at Yuup, and we’re really excited about this next important step to ‘scale up’ our work to support local communities. We look forward to sharing our progress.

Thank you to everyone who has made it possible for us to deliver this impact – the local communities we work with in Bristol and Birmingham, our investors, our partners, and of course the phenomenal Yuup team.

And remember, Say Yuup!
