Add this to your Christmas to-do list! A brand-new festive light show has arrived at Bristol Cathedral this week. But hurry, this Christmas must-see extravaganza ends on Friday 29 November.
This week Bristol Cathedral revealed its brand new light show, Luxmuralis: In The Beginning. The long-awaited, Nativity-inspired light show illuminates the gothic architecture with dazzling Christmas imagery that will leave everyone in amazement.
“This was an absolutely beautiful night, so well put together it would 100% go again! And definitely recommend it to others.” - Teresa, T
The experience guides you through the Cathedral’s iconic Gothic architecture, where everywhere you look is lit up with stunning festive designs and images to really get you in the festive spirit. Bristol Cathedral’s historic side aisles and nave are a one-of-a-kind backdrop for the kaleidoscope of festive designs.
While wandering the multicoloured halls, guests can enjoy the stirring musical compositions by David Harper, specially devised for this festive light show.
Luxmuralis’ Peter Walker and David Harper are the creative minds behind the award-winning light shows. Walker and Harper’s love for fine art, light, and sound all work in harmony to create the perfect atmosphere for a cosy festive evening.
When Luxmuralis successfully exhibited ‘Force of Nature’ at Bristol Cathedral in 2023, it was met with raving reviews:
“OMG, was this uplifting! The combination of the projections, the soundtrack, and the beautiful setting of Bristol Cathedral were spectacular. Well done to all involved!” - Trevor, November 2023
