Join BURP. Fermentation for a 'Make your own sauerkraut' session, where we'll go through the fundamentals of fermentation, giving you all the knowledge you need to start confidently fermenting at home. You'll also get stuck into making your very own jar of sauerkraut - guided by your host, Romy, who will give you tips and tricks along the way.
This is a BYOJ (bring your own jar) event. We suggest anything between a 750ml - 1 litre capacity jar.

Lovely venue, intimate class so that there was plenty of interaction and time for questions, accessible and very affordable, Romy is a great teacher and host with lots of knowledge, very personable and welcoming. We really enjoyed this Fermentation class! Really interesting and fun, didn't realise how scientific fermentation actually was! Romy was a great host, really knowledgeable and just generally really lovely. We had great time and would 100% recommend!
Please arrive at Wiper and True Taproom, Old Market by 7pm and bring your own jar with you.
Feel free to wear what you like, but be ready to roll your sleeves up and get your hands in amongst it. We will be standing for a good chunk of the session so wearing comfy shoes is advised.
