A new annual pop-up event series, Side Dish, launches in Bristol this January, bringing together the city’s food scene, unexpected moments of live comedy, and fundraising for local charities.
Kicking off in January, Side Dish transforms local restaurants, pizzerias and casual dining venues into warm, intimate nights out where food is the hero and comedy is revealed as a surprise twist during the evening. Sometimes it happens before the meal, sometimes after, sometimes woven throughout - the unpredictability is part of the experience.
Side Dish will take place across independent Bristol venues including Pieminister, KASK, Square Club and Renato’s, with more locations to be announced.
Created to support hospitality during its quietest month, Side Dish offers an accessible, feel-good reason to go out this winter. Each event is part of a city-wide series, with different venues hosting their own Side Dish night, all united by the same simple idea: great food, shared laughter and community impact.
This year, Side Dish is proud to support SWEDA, a local South West charity providing vital support to people affected by eating disorders and their families.
“Side Dish was created to turn a great night out into something that gives back,” says Dominic Mills, Founder of Yuup. “By working closely with SWEDA, the series turns great nights out into meaningful support for organisations doing vital work locally - all while creating warm, shared experiences people look forward to each January.”
Tickets for Side Dish events in Bristol are now on sale via Yuup, with limited availability at each venue.
