Side Dish Birmingham: Anawim

Side Dish is a once-a-year food-led event series that pairs great food with surprise live comedy, creating feel-good nights out that give back. Hosted in local restaurants and casual dining venues each January and February, the series supports independent hospitality while raising funds for community causes. This year, Side Dish proudly supports Anawim.

Anawim – Birmingham's Centre for Women is an award-winning centre which has been working in Balsall Heath since 1986. It offers gender-informed and trauma-responsive wraparound support to enable women to reach their potential. Anawim works with more than 2,000 women in Birmingham every year through advocacy, counselling, crisis intervention, holistic and intensive long-term specialist support and other practical resources, in the community and in prison.
