Join me for a cosy evening of deep rest and imaginative wanderings.
In a world where we are being driven mad by the drive for more, Yoga Nidra is the counter culture. Reminding us that rest IS productive. Resourcing ourselves is not a luxury or something we should feel guilty for, though often we do. A Yoga Nidra and Sound Meditation practice can form part of the revolution away from the relentless need for more that has been normalised.
Following this, you’ll be guided into a deeply immersive and skillfully woven sound meditation. Using instruments such as crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, and gongs, this practice gently shifts the brain through different wave states—moving from the busy beta waves of everyday thinking into the calmer alpha and theta states associated with creativity, deep relaxation, and dream-like imagery. Some may even access the delta state, where the body enters deep rest and cellular repair. This shift, known as brainwave entrainment, helps calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and support emotional and physical healing. The best thing? All you need to do is lie back, let go, and receive the waves of vibration as they ripple through body and mind.
Home made herbal tea and treats will be provided. Please bring your own mug :)
No yoga experience needed A yoga mat, blanket, bolster and eye mask will be provided but do bring anything else that helps you feel cosy or a journal if you'd like to take some time to reflect.
