A wine tasting with a rich chocolate twist awaits in this pairing experience with Bristol Local Wine School. Come along to try a delicious selection of wines, each with its own specially chosen chocolate pairing.

During your two hour experience you’ll taste six different wines, usually a selection of reds and sweet wines. These are each matched perfectly with chocolate sourced locally, including anything from dark to high quality milk chocolate, truffles and even rich chocolate cake.

You’ll be hosted for the evening by the owner of Bristol Local Wine School, Ruth, who has been teaching the intricacies of wine for the last 10 years. She’ll talk you through each wine and its match, helping you discover more about your own wine tastes.

This experience makes for a decadent date night or a wonderful gift for the wine lover in your life. Salut!

Clifton Wine School

Ruth’s aim with Clifton Wine School is to make wine tasting accessible for everyone. They like to focus on flavour and aroma, revealing how the characteristics of the grape can be influenced by climate and local winemaking styles. Their wine tastings and wine courses are above all fun and entertaining and always have a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Their guests can come in small groups or even by themselves as each of their experiences is a great opportunity to meet other wine lovers who are curious to sample some unique flavours.

Ruth

Ruth is the owner of Clifton Wine school and is a WSET qualified tutor, with a diploma in wines and spirits. Ruth has been teaching about wine for 10 years and loves pairing wine with food - a particular favourite of hers is the combination of truffles and a good port. Whilst hosting these experiences she loves the delight when people discover why they like the new wine they’re tasting - her aim is always to help people find new flavours to explore.
