Want to try adventure caving? Challenge yourself in the largest and most spectacular cave complex in the UK!

Hidden deep below the surface of the rolling Mendip Hills, Wild Wookey is an award-winning experience that offers explorers, thrill seekers, and anyone wishing to sample a taste of true caving a real challenge.

You’ll venture into the places visitors do not normally get to go. You’ll be guided by highly knowledgeable instructors as you crawl, climb and abseil through Wookey Hole Cave's underground adventure palace. This is no gentle walk through the caves...

Whilst you will be physically and psychologically challenged, you’ll also be in good hands as our guides are highly qualified instructors.

Guests over 14 years will need an adult present to take part in this experience.

Please note this is a physically demanding experience and is not suitable for everyone. If you have previous sporting injuries such as (dislocations/ fractures) please consult your GP before booking.

Guests with the following conditions are not permitted to take part:

Whiplash
Epilepsy
Heart conditions, e.g. Angina
Acute knee, shoulder, or ankle problems
Attacks of fainting, dizziness or blackouts
Recent surgery
Who are pregnant

You must meet these restrictions to safely take part in caving:

Weight restrictions: Minimum 40kg | Maximum 105kg
Height restrictions: Minimum 153cm | Maximum 198cm
Waist restrictions: Have a maximum waist size of 100cm

Minimum fitness level required.

On the day

Please arrive promptly 15 minutes before your experience is due to start, your instructor will meet before the session by the ticket booth next to the ice cream parlour, before you enter Wookey Hole -Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in (not jeans) and don't mind getting a little damp and muddy. Sturdy walking boots or wellies are ideal. You'll be provided with overalls, helmet and safety equipment
