In this experience, you will learn the basics involved in weaving - an ancient craft that has been used for centuries as a way of making clothes from natural fibres.
Your host for this experience is Jo from Jo Peake Creates, an experienced weaver with plenty of tips and tricks under her sleeve. With her guidance, you will be weaving your own lovely scarf in no time.
What to expect:
- Learn the fundamentals of weaving
- Be guided in using a weaving loom
- Choose from a colourful selection of soft wool
- Learn weaving techniques such as using a heddle, putting wool onto the shuttles and more
- Plenty of support from your host along the way
- Design your own unique scarf
- Leave with a hand-woven scarf that you can wear with pride!
This weaving workshop is the perfect way to have fun learning a new hobby. You'll be leaving with a completely unique scarf and a whole new set of amazing skills.

- On-street parking is available nearby or at the Diamond Street car park
- Although the workshop area is wheelchair accessible, the toilet facilities are not as it has a small step to access it

Jo believes in making products to love, last and treasure. Her experiences will help you have fun learning new skills, unleashing your creativity and leaving with handmade items to treasure for years to come.

Your host will be Jo, a weaver based in Bristol. She creates handwoven fabric and enjoys sharing her love of weaving.
She will be teaching on a back strap loom, using natural fibres.
