Sashiko, meaning 'little stabs', is a traditional Japanese stitching technique, used to mend and reinforce worn-out garments. In this mending workshop you'll learn this traditional Japanese method of repairing and repair one of your fave clothing items that needs some love.
The beauty of this technique is that Sashiko encourages us to make our mends visible and wear them with pride! While traditionally done in indigo and white, we’ll use colourful threads and patches to make your mends stand out. Bring a piece of clothing to repair and all other materials are provided.
What to expect:
Sashiko mending is best for holes and tears in woven fabrics and perfect for denim!
