Valentine’s Day Mug Decorating Workshop

EmailJoin me for a fun and relaxing pottery workshop, a perfect Valentine’s date for you and your loved one! During this session you’ll be given a base for a mug that you’ll be able to decorate, attach a handle to, and paint!
Clay, apron and tools will be provided. You will have a variety of tools to choose from, from cutters to letter stamps. If you have enough time, there will also be an opportunity to make an extra piece to go with your handmade mug.
The session will be led by a friendly instructor who will be on hand to help you with any queries. No previous experience necessary, this is an open class for people at all levels.
After the session, your creations will be left to dry, then they’ll be fired & glazed. Your mugs will be ready for collection approx. 4-6 weeks later at the Terra Studio. You will be emailed when the pieces are ready to collect.
The class is LGBTQIA+ friendly.

On the day
Arrive at Terra Studio five minutes before the class starts. The studio is situated in Stokes Croft on Picton Lane. It can be hard to find so I recommend using Google Maps. You can get off at the Nine Tree Hill bus stop. Limited parking available.
Wear something comfortable and warm as the studio can get a little colder during winter months. If you’re going out on a date afterwards and want to make sure you don’t have clay on your clothes, I recommend bring a change of clothes just in case!

Bad Luck Pottery is a small, independent ceramic business run by Mag Pech, based in Bristol, UK. The name “Bad Luck Pottery” is a playful nod to Mag’s surname, which means “bad luck” in her native language, turning superstition into creativity.

Hi, I’m Mag, a ceramicist and creative based in Bristol, UK. I specialize in crafting unique mugs, bowls, and decorative pieces that celebrate creativity and individuality. I first discovered pottery as a child, then returned to it about two years ago after a long break. Since then, I’ve been working professionally, exploring both handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques. I believe that imperfection adds character and charm, making every piece truly one of a kind.
