Upfest Stories and Street Art Walk

Despite the torrential rain we had a really great time learning about the street art around North Street. Lindsey was really knowledgeable and clearly very passionate, and was full of recommendations for other local activities for us to enjoy as well. Thanks so much!

Absolutely loved our walking tour around Bedminster with our guide. Can honestly say I will be looking deeper into the wonderful street art around us. The interactive app for the racing dog with it's 9 layers was amazing how the painting came to life ♡

My 9-year old nephew and I spent a fantastic afternoon on this tour. The guide Lindsey was really friendly and knowledgeable. It was very relaxed and Lindsey was happy to answer all our questions.

Was a class walk around part of the city. Vibrant area with a good buzz and of course lots of fantastic street art! Would highly recommend the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and great fun to have a chat with.

It was one of those things that you may take a while or there will be a lot of standing and listening. However, it was quite the opposite. The time went so quickly so that the conversation and elements of learning about the work was constant. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk and so did my friend as she was new to the area. Very insightful, learning a lot regarding the artwork, artist and history of Upfest. Lindsey was very knowledgeable and an excellent host. Thank you all, yuup and Upfest. :)

FUN experience. I have lived in Bristol for 5 years and have never seen a grafitti tour advertised until I started using Yuup. I attended with my boyfriend and artist uncle and we had a great time walking the streets of Bedminster exploring areas we would not usually go to, we loved looking at all the art and hearing about the pieces and the artists, it was fun to get out walking and exploring having spent so much time in doors due to COVID over the last couple of years, great for all ages!

We had a fantastic walking tour with Lindsey. She was friendly, knowledgeable, fun and saved us from getting run over. She was also great at including my Mum who is probably a little older than the usual ticket holder. We had a great day. Thank you 🙂

My partner and I booked a street art tour with Lindsey. The tour was brilliant in every way. Lindsey gave us lots of information about the artworks and the artists and showed us some of the artworks we could’ve easily missed. Lindsey also recommended exhibitions at Mshed which we went to and loved. The tour was super chilled, and we really enjoyed taking it all in. My tour today with Lindsey was top notch she was really friendly and very informative, the area as so many diverse types of work by top street artist to see , I really recommend this tour to anyone for the experience and local knowledge .

Really enjoyable experience with a friendly and enthusiastic host! Even living in Bristol it was nice to spend some time being guided around the art and talking about. Made me want to go and look for more and also can’t wait to see what new creations appear at the next Upfest!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour of Bedminster, visiting parts I didn’t know existed having lived in Bristol for 40 years! Our Guide was excellent, she obviously loves her job and I have already recommended the walk to several of my friends. I will be looking out for the 2 new murals on my next visit to Weston.

Great insight and introduction into UPFEST - only scratched the surface so I’ll be back using the map. Guide gave great background insight into artists and history of Upfest.

Lyndsey was a great guide ,very informative, and she showed us some street art in the side streets that we would not have discovered on our own. She was also able to give us some background to some of the artists as well ,which I found very interesting.
There is a lot more street art at the other end of North Street that did not get covered in the walk, I would have liked the walk to last longer so some of this could have been covered as well.

Such an informative tour of the area, having lived there for a good while and not knowing the origin or fully appreciating all of the hard work that goes into UpFest. An excellent tour, I now feel more attached to Bemmie than ever!

Great tour, Deirdre was great and knowledgeable. Might be an idea to start at the shop and suggest clients go a little earlier if they wish to browse as sadly the shop was shut by the end and we missed out on a potential goody bag and may even have purchased a print or some art as a souvenir.

Great tour of the wonderful artworks around North Street.
Dee was an excellent guide: gave lots of information about Upfest, history of street art in Bristol, the artists and the artworks themselves. She tweaked the route so we could see a couple of pieces that were being worked on while we were there and had 3d glasses to fully appreciate Insane51's art.
Happy to answer our questions and very helpful at giving directions on where to see other fabulous pieces elsewhere in Bristol.

This was a perfect start to my few days in Bristol Graffiti hunting. Dee was very knowledgeable and showed us some great pieces of Street Art. Dee also provided us with a lot of information on places to visit in the area and recommendations for further locations.

Had an absolutely amazing tour. Dee was super friendly and was extremely knowledgeable about the artists and history behind the art (apologises to Dee as we asked far too many questions!!).
Would highly recommend this either if you are visiting Bristol or like ourselves, local to the area and pass this art on a daily basis but wanted to know more about it.

Deirdre our host was very friendly and her enthusiasm and interest in street art shone through. She had chosen a range of works for us to view and was able to tell us about the artists, their backgrounds and their involvement in street art from the past. Very informative and interesting tour. Followed up with texts with suggestions for galleries and other tours which was much appreciated.

We thought we knew about street art in Bristol, but Dee showed us some absolute gems we wouldn't have known about. She was knowledgeable, informative, fun and inspiring, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend!
