Street art collective Graft are thrilled to be taking over as graffiti workshop providers for the world-famous street art festival Upfest.

Join the Graft team in Bedminster, Bristol, on the last weekend in May as hundreds of talented artists paint live over a weekend filled with creativity, artistry and imagination.

Graft will be offering regular graffiti workshop sessions with a team of professional artists. You will be able to create your own piece of stencil graffiti art on A4 canvas to take home with you. The Graft artists will help you create a masterpiece using water-based spraypaint and pre-cut stencils.

The workshops are suitable for everyone aged 9 and over, with no previous experience necessary. Under-14s must be accompanied by a paying adult at a ratio of 1 adult : 2 children.

How to get there

On the day

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled workshop time and wait outside the tent.

We suggest you don't wear your best clothes, although we will provide aprons, gloves and masks.

About Graft

Graft was founded in 2012 by husband and wife team Rob and Sophie Wheeler. Since turning their passion for graffiti and street art into a successful business, they have welcomed Colette, Jasmine and Ramona to the team as workshop leaders.

Graft is a small team of mural artists founded on education, engagement, craft, and, above all, sharing. Sharing their passion, knowledge and skills, and sharing other people’s stories and expertise too.

All of Graft's workshops are led by professional artists and experienced teachers. Workshop packages offer an authentic, in-depth experience of Bristol graffiti and street art. All of Graft's staff hold up-to-date Enhanced DBS clearance and public liability insurance.

Your hosts

Ramona Bigwood

Ramona is a p(r)op artist with an unmistakeably bright and vibrant style! She specialises in working with young people, both leading workshops and facilitating in the co-creation of youth-led projects.

Jasmine Collings

Jasmine is a freelance community artist and printmaker. She is also an experienced workshop facilitator, teaching not only graffiti skills but also printmaking and bookbinding, and she's currently converting her own printmaking bus!

Sophie Higgins Wheeler

Sophie has a wealth of experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. She is Graft’s Jack of All Trades: from taking the bookings to running the workshops and designing the murals, Soph does it all!

Colette Parker

A talented surface pattern artist, Colette honed her spraycan skills as a student of Graft, and now runs workshops with us. She has a passion for teaching and a particular flair for engaging young people in art.
