Upcycle your rags to riches

What you'll do

Have a wonderful few hours of fun upcycling your old clothing into works of art as your experienced host Marcie passes on all her tips and tricks to breathe life into your wardrobe. Pimp up your boots with everything that sparkles, paint your jacket, redesign your hoody – the possibilities are endless!

The workshop will begin with a cuppa and a tour around the fancy chicken-shed-turned-studio and then you’ll work with Marcie on a creative brainstorm to work out which methods you want to learn and which piece (or pieces) will best accommodate your ideas.

You’ll learn a lot from Marcie as she’s has been working in fashion since she was 20 when she launched House of Kaos, a children’s fashion brand. Since then, she's merged her business in upcycling with her love for sustainable fashion by offering a Send Me Your Tee service – an ethical way to jazz up your wardrobe that was used and loved by Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya Jones.

Please bring along a few plain items of clothing that need some love – stained pieces are a welcome challenge! All sparkles and paints are provided for you. By the time the workshop ends your pieces will be unrecognisable and your wardrobe will have a new lease of life!
