We’re sorry, this experience is not able to go ahead right now.
Due to the current Covid restrictions, this experience is unable to take place during December 2020.
Every booking - regardless of when this takes place, will play a part in helping our local businesses to survive this challenging time and help them bounce back when we are able to visit them in person again.

Have you ever wanted to create your own unique furniture? During this one day experience you’ll transform a pallet into a one-off piece of furniture for your home.
First you'll find out how to source materials and discover the tools and techniques you’ll need to prepare your pallets for upcycling. Once Scott has introduced you to the workshop space, you’ll use a mix of hand and power tools to create your own piece, from a shoe or wine rack to a bird feeder, storage box or even a small bookcase.
With your experience host's guidance, you'll leave with your own finished upcycled item. All materials, tools and safety equipment will be provided for you on the day.
Everyone will need to confirm fitness each day. Everyone will have their temperature taken at the beginning of each day. Hand washing will be compulsory at set times during the courses. Face masks will be compulsory during the specific parts of the course where you will be breathing heavily due to exertion. The remainder of the course we will have face shields available as an option to facemasks. Face shields will be provided. But please bring your own face mask.
Your experience will be at an indoor, heated workshop. Teas and coffees will be available throughout both the day but bring along your own packed lunch. Come in clothes ready for the workshop, which you don't mind getting a little messy.
Scott has been upcycling furniture for many years, but it was only after family and friends asked how they could make the inventive pieces in his home that Scott first started sharing his skills. Over 7 years later Scott continues to host a number of Black Paw upcycling experiences in his workshop, helping people to create their own pieces of upcycled furniture and learn the skills needed to upcycle at home.View more experiences by Black Paw
