Engaging and funny your leader who went at a sensible pace. Great walking tour around Bristol
John the guide was knowledgeable, welcoming and funny. We learnt a lot about the city we have lived in for a very long time. The walk was a good distance and we went at a good pace, so I never felt that we did not spend long enough, or too long in one place. I would definitely do a tour with this guide again.
Enthusiastic leader, well organised tour, fun as leader encouraged participation.
John was an entertaining and personable story teller. His wealth of knowledge shone through. The tour was beautifully pitched considering his audience was a mix of locals and European tourists.
John is a font of knowledge and shares it in an engaging and informative way. He was open to questions and tuned into the interests of the group very well. Recommended!
An excellent afternoon out if interested in TV and filming locations & the cultural history of Bristol. This tour is recommended. We started off by Avon Gorge Hotel, a brief bit of Brandon Hill then headed down into Bristol City Centre finishing at the Old Vic. Just 2-hours walking with 5 minute stops while John our guide used his extensive collection of photographs to explain what we should look at. Something for everyone here and an ideal semi leisurely afternoon out.
John gave a great tour of some of the most famous TV & Film locations in Bristol. He was friendly and fun, had a big folder of photos to show us the TV programmes and films he was talking about which helped. He mixed in some Bristol history too, and was eager to answer all our questions. There were 12 of us taking the tour - friendly to chat to while we walked. It lasted about 2.5 hours which was just enough!
John was a very engaging and knowledgeable host and the tour was informative and fun. He helps you look at the city with fresh eyes and tells some great anecdotes with good humour. Great for lovers of Film and TV, and of Bristol. Recommended.

The tour was great! Very informative and covered some spots that you would walk past without realising it was in film or tv show that you’ve watched. It is also a great way of learning little interesting facts about Bristol! Would certainly do it again!!
