What you'll do

Explore Bristol’s pirate past in a swashbuckling adventure around the city’s docks, led by your own pirate host. This is the perfect chance to discover more about Bristol’s pirate history and have fun along the way.

Discover the story behind Long John Silver and The Spyglass, and see where Squire Trelawney found and fitted out the good ship Hispaniola. Hear where young Jim Hawkins stepped off the coach from Devon to set sail on the biggest adventure of his life – the search for Captain Flint’s buried treasure. This walking experience is filled with pirates and buccaneers, hidden spy holes, dark secrets, dastardly deeds and lashings of gold doubloons.

Hear the stories where they all began - right here in Bristol’s dock. Filled with terrible pirate jokes and not forgetting Ted the fact checking parrot, who'll make sure your pirate gets the story straight, this is the perfect half term or holiday treat.

All our walks observe social distancing guidelines, numbers on this tour limited to 25. Guests are also welcome to wear face masks.

On the day

Your experience will go ahead rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Wear comfy shoes to walk in and bring an umbrella if needed. Toilets along the way may or may not be available thought there should be toilets at the end at M Shed. Your experience will start on King Street and finishes close to M Shed. Walk lasts approx 1 hour.
