£225 Wednesdays 10.00am - 12.30pm
Our 7 week throwing course is a great introduction to working with clay for total beginners or intermediate on the wheel. This course includes learning different techniques including wedging, centering, shaping, pulling and working with different tools to create a variety of different forms. You will also learn different glazing techniques using colourful underglaze and glazes in the final week of this course. By the end of the course you will have a selection of beautiful thrown ceramics to take home with you. There is a break in-between week 6 and 7 to allow for pieces to be fired.
The studio can be chilly during the winter months so make sure you wear warm clothes, and very importantly have trimmed nails.
Collections, Cancellations and Refunds: You can come collect your pots usually just a couple weeks after your course ends; collections are every Wednesday 4-8pm. Give us an email if you can’t make it during that time. Please note, we only hold on to your pots 3 months maximum after the 6 week period. We can also arrange for your pots to be posted to you for a fee starting at £6.50. Please email us with your address, photo of your pot and the date and name of the course you attended.
We have a 14 day cancellation period - we do not do refunds or re-schedule within 14 days prior to your course. If you can’t make a session you can always book onto one of our self-directed sessions for £20 to make it up.
Participants must be over the age of 18.
Our 7 Week Introduction to Throwing course runs on Wednesday mornings 10.00am to 12.30pm.
Age restrictions: 18+

Locating us can be tricky! We are located on the left side of a driveway next to the signs saying My Awareness Yoga Studio. You can find us using Google Maps and by looking for the building with a bold red graffiti mural. There's no parking available at the studio, so if you're driving, give yourself extra time to find off-street parking. I would recommend not driving down Picton Lane as it leads to a dead end.
