If you asked us to describe our perfect countryside day out, it would have to involve amazing food, delicious drinks, live music and beautiful surroundings.

Guess what? This experience just happens to tick all the boxes! Join The Story Farms for the very first in their series of Sunday Sessions.

Guests will enjoy creative cocktails, wonderful wine, live music and a sumptuous Sunday Session with food brought to them by Josh Eggelton (Pony Restaurant Group), Toby Gritten (Pump House) and Rob Howell (Root at Eat Drink Events).

Fancy some farm to fork dining? You're in luck! This multi-course meal will utilise the farm's finest produce. It will be cooked over the fire to produce a delicious meal within the spectacular giant tipis overlooking Chew Valley Lake.

Expect inspiring educational talks from experts in the field and a butchery demo running alongside the meal. Guests will be able to expand their understanding of agriculture, conservation and their role within it.

Tickets are £42 per head including all food and a glass of Pimms on arrival. If this doesn't scream the perfect summer day out - we don't know what does!

On the day

The postcode is BS40 8XR, this should take you to the end of a lane off Wallycourt Road with a Speed Limit sign and a Dead End sign at the start of it.

If not, search for The Stoke Inn BS40 8XE and head down the road opposite Wallycourt Road. 500 yards down the road on the right you will see the above mentioned lane.

Drive into the lane and carry on up the hill. As the hill starts to dip down again, you will see a green and red arrow on the left, pointing to a gate on the right.

About The Story Farms

The Story Farms is an organic 200-acre farm in Somerset.

It all began back in 2004. Farmer Luke Hasell and his neighbour Jim Twine had recently inherited their fathers' farms in Chew Valley. They decided to join forces.

Together, they rear cattle ethically and organically. Luke and Jim work closely with other farms and partners who share the same values. Their meat is sold in Luke’s three butcher shops and online.

Since then, Luke has curated and grown several ventures on his land: a successful festival, a stunning glamping site and a thriving wedding business. Last but not least, alongside chef Josh Eggleton he opened small plate restaurant Root in Bristol. All these projects connect to the heart of the business with quality and sustainability right at their core.

The Story Farm's newest venture, starting in summer 2022, is the introduction of feasting events. These magnificent multi-course meals will be cooked over a fire by chefs from the Pony Chew Valley, Root, and The Pump House. Set in a stunning location by Chew Valley Lake with informative talks on farming, butchery demos, and live music, alongside incredible food - these aren't experiences to miss.
