Rated a five star experience, and an equally welcoming space to the curious as well as those more familiar, 'The Primordial Drum' is a bridge between Worlds. Bringing together a co-creation of some of the most therapeutically potent ancient and modern sound based practises.
What is a shamanic sound journey?
Drum journeying is about how it makes you feel as you connect with the primal rhythms found at the HEART of creation. The practise echoes through millennia and is known to dissolve stagnation, fuel creativity, ignite wisdom, stamina and intuition. It can also create a window into the more obscured aspects of our lives and psyche, allowing us to see ourselves more clearly and hence enable us to navigate our lives more easily.
Expect hypnotic rhythms that seem to rise from the depths of the Earth. Mongolian throat singing that takes you to vast open plains. Earthly and Cosmic soundscapes that transport you to other worlds and dimensions. And d.n.a. tingling traditional instruments that evoke the elemental spirits of a beginningless past.
How it works
Different rhythms can transport us into a trance-like state. Its a form of meditation that can bring clarity and a higher sense of harmony to our being.
The accompanying sounds, music and vocals are designed to ease participants into a state of relaxation and flow. This enhances the experience by giving a balance to the heavier and more energising nature of Shamanic Drumming.
Where To Park
The nearby Trenchard Street car park charges £4.50 for a 3 hour stay. This gives time to settle in, enjoy the event and have time to take it easy afterwards. If you wish to lie down like most do, please bring something comfortable to lie on. e.g. mats/blankets/pillows. Chairs are also available.

I didn't want it to end, such a brilliant experience, I'll definitely re-book for another session. It was a very relaxed space, all the instruments were played beautifully, each one having their own effect on your body. The venue is absolutely perfect and I left feeling so incredibly relaxed, but also grounded, a very special experience. I'd highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this event. I didn’t know what to expect but i was transported to another dimension. I can’t believe one or even two people can produce such sounds I was mesmerised. The drumming was so grounding and powerful so was the voices. I loved the soothing the end and the whale sounds. I will definitely be back again. The only thing I I couldn’t hear was the talking at the beginning and at the end so unsure if the microphone was working properly? Thank you

WOW I have been wanting to participate in this for a year and I finally got round to booking and going. It was fantastic, the whole ambience is so welcoming and beautiful. On the day
Please arrive 10-15 mins early. Doors are likely to be closed shortly after 7:30pm so not to disturb other participants. Please turn off mobiles before hand. Your temperature can lower alike when sleeping during the session, so it's best to bring extra clothing/blankets/cushions or similar especially in the winter. Many participants even bring sleeping bags and air beds. Water is the most conducive kind of hydration for this type of event.
