Introduction to Cold Water Swimming

Cold water swimming has so many benefits for your wellbeing and mental health. Now the weather is getting warmer it's a great time to get outside and swim.

Lisa's Women's Wellbeing Group often go swimming at Clevedon Marine Lake but it's great to have a lesson with an instructor if you haven't tried cold water swimming before or if you'd like to learn more. This is for women only.

Lisa has arranged for a cold water swimming instructor to run a taster session where you'll learn how to acclimatise to cold water, currents, tides and where you can and can't swim.

If you have been wanting to enjoy the benefits of cold water swimming but didn't know where to start then this is for you.

On the day

Meet in carpark next to the playing park. Bring a swimming costume, towel, warm clothes, hot drink, wooly/swimming hat and I'd recommend swimming gloves and boots.
