Clearer signage would be good as it is tricky to find but luckily we bumped into our host Amber. She was great, giving us lots of tips and motivating us to get going. This helped a lot as I was not very confident and it was my first time on a Paddleboard. Great location seeing sights from the water. Lots of photos taken but we haven't been privy to these - are they online or sent to participants? 14th Aug we did it, no updates as of 29th. It would be nice to have a souvenir of the experience.

Really enjoyed it. Josh was great and a fantastic teacher, teaching us the basics and getting us all standing and looking sort of professional by the end of the session! Enjoyed his fun facts about the Bristol harbour and boats along the way too. Great fun and brilliant to learn something new too.
Good value for money and friendly hosts, thank you!

You'll meet for your experience on the quayside next to the Cottage Inn, five to ten minutes before your session start time. You’ll see a row of boards all set up and ready to go. Come along for your experience in comfortable sportswear and ready to go. Wetsuits are available but whilst it's warm your own sportswear is preferable. The team can lock any bags away securely whilst you're on the water.
SUP Bristol is the award-winning home of stand-up paddleboarding in Bristol founded by Tim and Kate in 2014. Between the team, they’ve paddled in four continents, from the raging whitewater of the White Nile to New Zealand's tranquil fjords.
Both are highly qualified and passionate about sharing their love for the water, both on Bristol's historic floating harbour and beyond. Most of all, they wanted to make it easier for people to have access to water without having to commit to a membership or regular training.
Having been a fixture in Baltic Wharf for the last six years, SUP Bristol has helped thousands of people take to the water and see the city from a completely unique perspective.
Kate first tried her hand at paddleboarding in the serene landscape of Nelson lakes, New Zealand. A few hikes and long distance bike rides later and she returned to the UK and co-founded SUP Bristol. When not on a board, Kate loves open water swimming, competing in distances up to 10km. Trained and experienced in youth work, adult education and volunteer management, Kate is passionate about creating accessible, fun adventures and opportunities for others to develop. Ask Kate about the GB racing scene and SUP’s work with youth and the community.
Tim discovered stand up paddleboarding in 2011 whilst paddling in New Zealand, and in 2014 co-founded SUP Bristol, with partner Kate, to bring the outdoors to the city. His enthusiasm for sharing his passion for the water has led him to become a leading provider of SUP Bristol coach education. Tim’s watersports career began with competitive freestyle kayaking, in which he competed for Great Britain. He is a British Canoeing 5* Leader and is Rescue 3 trained and if you really enjoy your experience he’s always happy to talk about how you can take your paddling further.
