Don't worry if you have no prior creative experience - this workshop is designed for beginners, making it the perfect introduction to the art of stained glass.

  • Learn the fundamentals of glass cutting, leading, and soldering under expert guidance.

  • Familiarise yourself with the tools of the trade and understand the necessary safety measures.

  • Choose a design from our collection and use our vibrant coloured glass to bring it to life.

You should know:

  • This workshop involves working with lead, so we recommend that pregnant or breastfeeding women avoid attending for safety reasons.

  • Regrettably, due to the studio being located upstairs, we are currently unable to accommodate wheelchair users.

On the day

Class times 10-4pm. Please park in the customer carpark opposite, then head over to the main buildings, we are based in Studio 9 above Needle & Nail. Beginner friendly class. All tools and materials supplied to create a completed stained glass panel or hanging. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and no open sandals. All protective equipment will be provided. Its advised that you bring along your own lunch provisions. Complementary teas/coffees & biscuits.

I have been working with glass since 2006, designing and creating bespoke, stained glass commissions for residential properties, a variety of businesses and quite often the Church.
I love the process of creating a stained glass window, from taking the initial idea through the design stages and turning it into something liner. To choosing the best glass to represent each facet of the design and finally building the panel using the same techniques that have been carried down through generations of craftsmen and women.
Using the skills passed onto me, I would love to help you create your own glass piece and send you away with a stained glass panel you can proudly hang in your home!
