Stained Glass Pumpkin Painting

Join this stained glass painting class in Bristol and create your own glass pumpkin hanging under the expert guidance of glass artist Dawn Beedle.

You'll get hands-on with the traditional techniques of kiln-fired glass painting as you work on a pre-fused pumpkin shape.

Dawn will show you how to mix and apply professional stained glass paint, guiding you through tracing, matting, and shading to bring your design to life. You'll also explore the sgraffito technique, scratching back through the paint to add intricate details and highlights to your piece.

All the tools and materials you need are provided. This workshop is a wonderful way to switch off and focus on a new craft in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

By the end of the evening, you'll have gained a fascinating insight into this ancient artisan craft. Your pumpkin will be taken to Dawn’s studio for firing to ensure the paint is permanent, leaving you with a high-quality, seasonal keepsake that will catch the light beautifully for years to come.

Pieces will be ready to collect within a fortnight of the course from Staple Hill, Bristol.
