EmailJoin the team at Moor Wild for another of their popular astronomy experiences. This evening experience is new for 2023 and will allow you to discover the night skies using telescopes while tucking into some delicious homemade food.
What to expect:
- Tuck into a generous bowl of homemade soup (spicy squash or roasted vegetable, served with crusty bread and butter)
- Watch the exclusive self-made film on the astronomy around Exmoor National Park, starring Liz, Gary and Linda Wright
- Learn how to use their seven telescopes to discover Jupiter, Mars and Venus in the winter skies
- Spot Andromeda galaxy and learn how to use the free Stellarium app
- Enjoy a slice of Liz's famous ginger or marbled chocolate cake and a cup or tea, coffee or hot chocolate
- Take home a FREE dark skies pocket guide
On a cloudy or rainy night you'll be able to enjoy an indoor show, including an astronomical film, NASA imagery show and basic constellation learning. You'll also get to take a closer look at the telescopes and stargazing apps.

Liz is an outdoor educator and walking guide. She runs wild foraging, stargazing, bat detecting and private dining experiences.
Gary Wright (He/Him)
Gary is Moor Wild Experience's resident dairy farmer. He wants to make any guest's experience with them one to remember.
Linda Wright (She/Her)
Former dairy farmer Linda looks forward to meeting guests at experiences.
