This small group workshops offer you a one-day Seagrass Footstool Weaving experience, you will go home with your completed beautiful herringbone style woven footstool in a choice of natural beech, or a painted frame, and treasure it forever.

Your beech wood footstool frame is artisan made by my local village wood worker and will be woven with sustainable seagrass cord. It is small enough to finish in the day course, but a great size for your feet, obviously!

Your ticket price includes all materials, tea, coffee biscuits, please bring a packed lunch. Parking is free at the venue.

Join Felicity Tran, traditional upholsterer and seat weaver, to learn this beautiful heritage craft, it really is the ultimate gift experience! Her one-day workshop is designed so you can complete your footstool and take it home to treasure at the end of the day. You will weave your stool on a local artisan made beech wood frame with sustainable seagrass cord. She will teach in an engaging, friendly and informal way, with an emphasis on being productive. You can enjoy this mindful craft whilst chatting with your co attendees (maximum 8 people). You will leave with a sense of immense achievement having made a beautiful piece of useable professional quality furniture.
