Join us for a fun filled session learning how to sand cast. Cast waxes and items into solid silver using delft clay, large blowtorches and a lot of heat, mess and cups of tea.

This process is brilliant for total beginners as an experience, or established makers who want to trouble shoot the process or add something new to their craft.

Please note: silver is not included but you can pay for it on weight if you want to take items home as jewellery.

Please bring along small shells, acorns, small found objects or your wax carvings.

Bethany is the silversmith behind both Silver & Steel and her personal jewellery brand Bethany May Silver. Down to earth and welcoming Bethany loves sharing her passion for jewellery making with makers of all levels. Having learnt from Alice Goldsack, herself a student of the prominent Diana Porter, Bethany cares deeply about the silversmithing culture and community in Bristol. After years of creating her own work, Bethany developed engaging workshops for beginner jewellers and has taught people of all ages and abilities. Bethany is an experienced creative workshop teacher, educator and trainer who will ensure the experience is fun, memorable and participants leave feeling empowered.
