Ever ridden a tandem? Now’s your chance to hop on a bicycle made for two and explore the best of the South West.
In this experience:
You’ll start your experience with a briefing from one of The Strawberry Line team - they’ll explain your chosen route, tell you what to look out for, give you plenty of tips and get you set up on your tandem. They’ll be available on the phone throughout, in case you have any problems with your tandem.
After your briefing, it's time to set off on your adventure. The Strawberry Line's mostly traffic-free level path is one option made for novice cyclists. This peaceful route runs for 9 miles from Yatton station to Cheddar offering an 18-mile round trip - the perfect day out! Along the way, pass orchards, woodlands, valleys, wetlands and a nature reserve. If you're feeling adventurous, let those limbs take you off-piste and lap up scenic views elsewhere.
Jump on a tandem and enjoy a day out exploring with a picnic as a Yuup extra too - would be rude not to!
Minimum fitness level required.

The Strawberry Line Cycle Project is a not for profit community cycle organisation based at Yatton railway station. Back in 1978, the Strawberry Line Society talked North Somerset Council into buying some of the old railway, known as The Strawberry Line. The charity then leased the track, turning it into a path and nature reserve. The line is named after the volume of strawberries it carried from Cheddar to London markets, and even today Cheddar is still famous for its strawberries.

Fantastic fun, well organised and a brilliant location on a traffic free stretch of path that extends all the way to cheddar. The picnic lunch was a bonus, although we stopped at a pub on the way!
An excellent day out and thoroughly enjoyable - I would definitely recommend!
