Qigong & T'ai Chi Gentle Flowing Movement Class

Enjoy the calming and flowing movements of Qigong and T'ai Chi, helping to connect mind and body and reduce stress.

After a gentle warm up you will be guided through a series of Qigong moves before spending some time following the T'ai Chi form. No previous experience is required as the focus of each class is on relaxation and gentle flow, while learning the principles of movemen that apply to both Qigong and T'ai Chi.

Participants should be able bodied but the exercises are gentle and there are no minimum levels of fitness required.

The Eight Brocades routine is one of the most common and traditional forms of Chinese Qigong, while the 37 step Yang style T'ai Chi form was developed by Professor Cheng Man-ch'ing in the 1940s. Your host, Trevor Lillistone, has over 10 years experience of practicing T'ai Chi and Qigong, having been taught at the Central School of T'ai Chi Chuan in London by a direct student of Cheng Man-ch'ing.
