Pottery Throwing: Improvers Drop-in Sessions

Have you had an introduction to pottery but want to practice and hone your skills? This pottery throwing workshop is for improvers that want to drop in and practice what they have learned.

Learning how to throw on the pottery wheel is like learning how to play a musical instrument, the more you practice the better you will get! All tools, materials, white stoneware buff clay and slips are provided and you will have your own wheel to work from.

This workshop is designed for those that have experience on the pottery wheel, are comfortable with self-directed throwing.

Feel free to bring your own materials, but be aware we have clay provided.

If you choose to fire and glaze the work this is not included and will have to inquire about our house glaze or if you would like to bring your own glaze.

Fishponds Pottery is a home for craft and pottery in Bristol. They welcome all potters to come and use their facilities to help progress their practice. Fishponds Pottery are a casual and friendly space to practice your throwing and improve the skills you have learnt from previous workshops with professional practising pottery teachers.
