There's nothing better than spending a sunny summers afternoon in the pub garden, sipping a cold fresh beer and making the most of the sun. Why not add in a splash of creativity and make your very own ceramic mug!
Join ceramicist Naomi Stokes and Meredith Mason at the Volunteer Tavern pub in Old Market as they guide you step-by-step through the process of making your own pinch pot pottery mug.
You'll be guided step-by-step through the process of making your own ‘pinch pot’ ceramic coffee cup. You don't need any previous clay experience as everything will be explained fully on the day.
What to expect:
After a brief demonstration from your experts, you'll be let loose to get a feel for the clay, practice your technique and finish off with some decorative techniques to define your design.
Your finished item will be left with your hosts who will fire and glaze your work. You will be contacted to collect your cups from your host within 2-4 weeks.
