Embark on a unique and personalised pottery journey with Pottymouth's 4-week pottery course, hosted in their cosy clay-filled studio in Bedminster, Bristol. Whether you're a novice or a complete pottery enthusiast, this experience will allow you to explore the art of hand-building techniques while creating a bespoke dinner set that reflects your style.
Course details:
Week 1: Tuesday 7th May @ 6.30pm-9pm - Plates: Begin your pottery exploration by acquainting yourself with the basics. Meet your tutor, fellow participants, and familiarise yourself with the studio. Starting off your clay dinner set collection creating your dinner plate!
Week 2: Tuesday 14th May @ 6.30pm-9pm - Bowls: In the second week we will be focusing on crafting your bowls. Receiving personalised guidance on design and form, bringing your vision to life!
Week 3: Tuesday 21st May @ 6.30pm-9pm - Drinkware: Transition into week three with the creation of functional and stylish drinkware. Delve deeper into handbuilding techniques, refining your skills and experimenting the creation of a tumbler, cup or mug.
Week 4: Tuesday 28th May @ 6.30pm-9pm - Decorating and Final Touches: In the final week, your dinner set will transform into functional works of art through the magic of underglaze. Explore various decorating techniques, colours, and finishes to add the perfect touch to your creations.
What to expect:
Join Pottymouth for this creative 4-week pottery course, where you will discover the joy of working with clay and create a beautiful addition to your home!
After the course, your full collection of pottery will be glazed and ready for collection 1-2 weeks later.

Meredith is a ceramicist specialising in handbuilding with 3 years of teaching experience. She enjoys exploring clay techniques such as coiling, pinch pots and slab building. Bringing these techniques to a variety of workshops, Meredith aims to share her love of the clay world by guiding you through the process of handmade forms.
Naomi is an expert potter with three years teaching experience. Naomi mostly works on the potter's wheel, but has recently reignited her love for hand building. Her aim is to help people realise their ideas in clay. Naomi will be on hand during the whole experience to give advice, support and plenty of encouragement.
