Pot Head workshop - clay and play

What you'll do

Join the Pot Heads for an evening of clay and play - it's your chance to create your very own plant pot pal! Get ready to unleash your creativity and create a cheeky ceramic plant pot character in a fun workshop like no other.

Taking place in the heart of St Werburghs, this is a unique opportunity to take a peek inside one of Bristol's creative hubs. The Pot Heads' studio is home to an array of artists and makers - it's your turn to grace their studio next!

In this two hour experience, you'll discover some simple pottery techniques. Your host will show you step-by-step how to build your own Pot Head character using air-drying clay. The Pot Heads are on a mission to make creative play accessible to everyone and show that you don't have to be an artist to enjoy creating! This workshop is a great way to unwind, relax and get in touch with your silly side.

To make your unique creation really come to life, you'll be able to give your pot a cactus or succulent hairstyle of your choice. Whether it's a topknot, mohawk or perm - it's entirely up to you! After a quick trip to the salon, your new pal will be ready for you to take home, along with a Pot Head goody bag.

This is a great chance to have a laugh with friends, a partner, get the gang together or maybe you just fancy bringing yourself and meeting the other Pot Heads. This is a BYOB event, so it's guaranteed fun all around!

Please note: Groups of up to six people are very welcome. If you are a larger group, please get in touch before booking as a private session may be more suitable.

About Pot Heads Pottery

Since community artist Tasha Bee started the Pot Head movement, she has been busy delivering workshops where thousands of hand-sculpted, ceramic plant pot pals have come to life. Each and every one of these Pot Heads is as wonderful and unique as the person who created it.

The Pot Heads experience is completely portable and can be brought to you in Tasha's bright and colourful 'Portable Pottery Studio' van - so these relaxing workshops deliver a healthy dose of creative silliness right to your door!

Tasha has a background in the arts and wellbeing and the Pot Head movement was born from her passion for using creative play to bring groups together, supporting the community and aiding wellbeing. She's on a mission to encourage people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to enjoy the playful and therapeutic nature of clay.

Tasha Bee

Tasha is a community artist based in Bristol and is passionate about using art and creativity to aid wellbeing and social connection. She has a background in running art workshops for a variety of groups in the community and loves lots of different forms of art.

The idea for the Pot Heads was born when Tasha was working at a pottery studio which supported individuals with learning difficulties and autism; she fell completely in love with the playful, relaxing nature of clay and soon wanted to share it with everyone she knew!
