EmailUse hand-painted gouache paper to create an A3 paper cut illustration of your favourite scene in a bold way.
You will be using loose shapes to create a layered collage as well as creating a collage inspired by my style of illustration work.
You can create any type of subject matter for this workshop, the host finds buildings, more simple landscapes work well for this. Please bring a picture of your chosen image to work from in the workshop.
You will learn about colour theory and gain an understanding of the varying colour schemes that work well together.
This workshop is suited towards beginners to experienced artists wanting to explore a different way of making collage, in my own artistic style. This is a great workshop to unwind through the relaxing process of cutting and sticking collage.
All materials are provided.

On the day
- please arrive at the Broadmead entrance of SPARKS, not the Primark side
- ensure that everyone from your party has arrived 10 minutes prior to the workshop starting to allow the experience to start on time
- wear clothes you don't mind getting a little glue on you (it can get a little messy!) and don't forget a picture to work from.
- there will be hand washing stations for you to clean your hands

Naomi Ann Clarke
Meet Naomi, a dynamic freelance illustrator, designer and educator based in Cardiff. A Bristol alumnus, Naomi's artistry is characterized by the use of bright, bold colors, both in digital formats and hand-cut collages. Drawing inspiration from painting, printmaking and collage techniques, her work spans across editorial, design, advertising, publishing and branding, resonating with themes of community, curiosity, lifestyle, adventure and sustainability.

Her extensive experience in teaching has led her to develop specialised workshops for schools, organisations and community groups.
