In this whole-day stained glass workshop in Bristol, you will make a colourful, light-filled glass artwork for your garden. You'll be able to choose from a wide selection of glass colours to create your mosaic hanging and enjoy a creative, crafty day!

New to this craft? No worries! This class is beginner-friendly and you don't need any prior experience. You'll be guided step-by-step in a relaxed, supportive environment. Perfect for anyone looking for unique things to do in Bristol.

What to expect:

  • Create a design, learn how to cut glass, and glue it onto an acrylic backing.

  • Use grout to fill the gaps and clean your piece before taking it home to show off!

  • Acrylic templates will be provided, and you can choose from a range of shapes.

  • You can use your own design or choose from a selection of designs and ideas.

  • Alternatively, use an abstract design and simply be inspired by beautiful glass and glass beads.

The completed piece will have a pre-drilled hole, and you will use a cord for hanging it up! By the end of the workshop, you'll have your finished glass mosaic ready to brighten up your space - plus a fun new skillset to keep experimenting with at home.

Flora de Ospina has been creating with glass for over 20 years. She focuses on the natural world, working across a range of techniques such as leaded, copper foil and applique or mosaic style stained glass. In the last 10 years, she has enjoyed passing on this skill to others through running workshops at her studio in Oxfordshire and, more recently, at a studio at the Westbury Wildlife Park in Westbury-on -Trym, Bristol.
