Join us for a relaxing and creative needle felting workshop set in a truly special locationâright on a working alpaca farm in Somerset! Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned felter, this peaceful session is the perfect way to slow down and get crafty in the company of some seriously cute animals.
Led by one of the farmâs owner-farmers, youâll learn how to needle felt your very own alpaca using fibre shorn directly from the resident herd. With over 20 alpacas on site, youâll have plenty of time to soak up the scenery, chat about all things alpaca, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings as you craft.
May is birthing season, so if you're lucky, you might even spot a baby alpaca (cria) from the café where the workshop takes place! The venue will be closed to the public during your session, making it an exclusive, calm, and sociable crafting experience.
All materials and expert tuition are included, and refreshments are available to purchaseâincluding cakes, snacks, cold drinks and even a glass of fizz. Itâs the perfect setting for a creative escape with friends.

Getting Here: Located just off the A38 in Alveston (nr Thornbury). Free parking in our private car park. Cycle racks onsite. T1 bus stops ~100m from the Barn.

Katriona is a lifelong crafter with over 20 years of teaching experience, now running creative workshops at Wolfridge Alpaca Barn. Raised in a âmake do and mendâ home, she enjoys crafting with her own children and sharing her passion with othersâespecially when alpaca fibre is involved!
She and her husband began farming alpacas in 2018 and opened the Barn as a visitor attraction in 2022. While Katriona leads the workshops and gift shop, her husband manages the herd and oversees daily farm and cafĂ© operations. Together, theyâve created a truly unique and welcoming space where creativity and countryside charm meet.
