Twisting, punching, hammering, embossing! These are some of the techniques you will learn in this 3-hour ring-making workshop where you will learn the fundamentals of silver jewellery making!
The possibilities really are endless as to what surface texture you can create on silver with a little imagination, and you will be able to play and experiment to your heart's content and create a unique, wearable piece of art to take away at the end of the session!
This masterclass is suitable for complete beginners, or those with some previous jewellery-making experience that would like to experiment further with texture on metal. The small class size means that you'll get plenty of one-on-one help to bring your creation to life.
What to expect:
Use a variety of different tools and techniques to create your personalised piece, from letter punches to the rolling mill to replicate the texture of many fabrics, papers, laces and more!

Loved it
My Mum and I had the most fantastic morning learning how to make our silver rings with Sophie. It has made me appreciate the work that goes into ring making and love that we both have jewellery to remind us of this forever. Sophie was a fantastic teacher and incredibly knowledgable! I would highly recommend this to anyone, what a fantastic experience and love that I have made my own beautiful, personalised ring to wear. Thank you, Sophie!
I loved my ring making class with Sophie. She was a brilliant teacher and really explained everything so well. She helped bring my creative side out and bring my idea to life. I would recommend this experience to anyone and would love to do another class with her one day
Sophie was great - really enjoyed myself and learnt a lot (as well as getting a lovely piece of jewelry out of it)
I booked this workshop for myself and my partner for our anniversary weekend. Sophie is a fantastic host, super kind and knowledgeable, and we even got to meet her lovely dog! Myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and experimenting with all the different techniques to texturise metal. We are so happy with our final ring designs! We are both complete novices when it comes to jewellery making but it has given us the itch to explore more. Can't recommend highly enough!
We had a wonderful time creating our own rings, Sophie made it easy and fun despite no prior experience. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing tuition, super knowledgeable host, will definitely be back. Thank you!
Brilliant class, really informative - teacher is genuinely great at their craft and very knowledgeable and helpful. I did find this call challenging as a novice to jewellery making but my end product looks incredibly well made and I am extremely pleased with it! Good location, quite a small studio but not much space is needed for this craft anyways- just bear in mind if a full class I imagine it would be close quarters! Nothing bad at all to say, I would book this again!
Covid testing is carried out in the event that our tutor Sophie should feel unwell and you will be notified if a session should need to be re-scheduled because of covid. All tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each session and hand sanitiser is readily available.
