This is one truly colourful and creative experience for your child. They'll be exploring Matisse's art, before designing and screen printing their own Matisse-inspired t-shirt or tote bag. It will be a real beauty!
Your child will be joining designer and screen printer Steph in her studio on Bristol's Harbourside.
What's screen printing?
Screen printing is a creative process where you transfer a stencilled design onto a flat surface using a mesh screen, ink and a squeegee. It's a super fun one to learn - your host, a screen printer and primary school teacher is excited to share this skill with others.
What to expect:
Your child will finish the day with either a tote bag or t-shirt that they can use or wear. They can proudly say they have designed and printed it themselves!
Nice to know:
Steph is a fully qualified primary school teacher and DBS registered. Children are supervised at all times. Steph is happy for you to leave your child while the workshop is taking place.

Stephanies workshop was perfect for my kids. They are 7 and 10 and my eldest is autistic. She took the time to send some photos of the work that had been done before to help plan the activity. The space is small but it felt comfortable for my kids and me. She explained all the processes clearly and took her time with both kids to make sure they could produce what they wanted to achieve. The t shirts look great and they haven’t taken them off since!
My 7yo absolutely loved this! She was made to feel very welcome and was so engrossed she didn't even stop for a snack.
My daughter had such a great time. A fantastic opportunity for her to explore her creative side with a technique she’s never tried before. Thank you! She made a beautiful bag and is very proud that it is all her creation.
