Create Your Own Desert Terrarium
Create your own miniature desert terrarium to take home and display.
Join the team at Sprouts of Bristol for a relaxed and creative workshop where you’ll design and build your own miniature desert terrarium.
During this two-hour experience you’ll create a beautiful open terrarium filled with cacti and succulents. Using layers of sand, decorative materials and carefully selected plants, you'll build a miniature desert landscape inside a glass vessel.
Your workshop will be led by one of the knowledgeable Sprouts team, all trained by founder Jessy Edgar to guide you through the process step-by-step.
During the workshop you will:
🌵 Learn how desert terrariums work
🌵 Choose from a selection of cacti and succulents
🌵 Design and build your own desert terrarium
🌵 Learn how to care for your terrarium at home
🌵 Take home your finished desert terrarium
All plants, materials and tools are provided so you can simply relax and enjoy the creative process.
We’ll also provide tea, coffee and sweet treats from 404 Bakes while you craft your miniature desert world.
These workshops are also BYOB, so feel free to bring your favourite tipple. Alternatively, our friends at The Green Man pub just up the road are happy to provide takeaway drinks.
Perfect for plant lovers, creative afternoons with friends, or unique botanical gifts.
Please note
Workshops require a minimum of 6 participants. If the minimum number of bookings is not reached, we may reschedule the workshop and contact you to arrange an alternative date.

Fantastic evening, lots of fun. Definitely recommend, ideal evening to do with friends.
Both my partner and I enjoyed this experience booked for our monthly date night. A very relaxing activity and we love our new terrariums.
There is limited on-street pay-and-display parking near the shop, though spaces can sometimes be tricky to find.
If you’re driving and can’t find a space, Rupert Street multi-storey car park is around a 13-minute walk away.
