Book something to look forward to or gift to someone special for when lockdown is over, or to celebrate a brand new year!
Make your own lino cut, hand-printed Christmas cards to share as unique gifts for friends and family on the cosy, heated front deck of a 1970s ‘Caribbean cruiser’ in Portishead Marina. Here’s a chance to get a glimpse into how linocut art prints are made, by designing and printing aselection of cards to take home, in this private experience for two people.
Your host will be Barbara, an award winning local artist and sculptor based in Portishead. Barbara will have everything you need including inspiration, imagery, stencils, hand-carved stamps, printing inks, soft cut lino blocks and tools. On the day she’ll show you how to create your own designs as you discover the process of lino printing with a festive twist. You’ll be printing with a range of colours in water based inks onto high quality printing paper, and with a choice of festive glitter to add if the mood takes!
Enjoy a mulled wine to get into the festive spirit as you discover your creative side and print your own handmade gifts.
