Make an embossed pewter notebook & pen

Come and join Metallix's workshop - create an embossed pewter notebook and pen to show off to your friends!

Your host is Mel, a pewter and mixed-media artist who will bring you right up to speed. No artistic ability is required in this beginner-friendly workshop.

Here's what to expect:

  • Learn the basics of low and high relief embossing on sheet pewter
  • Get comfortable using basic hand-held tools
  • Find out how to give your pewter an aged appearance and polish it to a high gloss
  • Use your finished piece to cover your notebook and a pen!
  • All materials included
  • Tea and coffee provided

On the day

When facing The Old Print Works building, the driveway heading to the parking is on the right hand side. but it would be best to park in Edward Road, opposite.

Unfortunately the workshop is upstairs with no lift in the building.

Mel Berman

Mel is a pewter and mixed-media artist, born in South Africa and raised in Birmingham. She draws her inspiration from her love of nature and scenic memories of her African heritage. In her spare time, you can find Mel teaching workshops from her studio in The Old Print Works or hosting them at craft centres, coffee shops and people's houses.
