Tropical Terrarium Workshop

Sam was amazing! He was funny and good fun to be with and had a wealth of plant knowledge! Loved it and already told friends about it. Would definitely do it again!

Great fun, great host and a great time

I really enjoyed this experience. Sam was a fantastic leader and very knowledgable, taking time to guide us through each step and explain why we were doing it. His passion for plants is very apparent. Working alongside a few other people kept the experience intimate & meant that we could ask questions and take our time. I learnt a lot about houseplants and terrarium care, and I feel very proud of what I have created.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of creating my very own terrarium under the knowledgeable guidance of tutor Sam. It was a diverse group of participants and we all made the terrariums easily, with each one reflecting individuality.
Sam was charming and friendly and clear in his instructions. He shouldn’t feel anxious about presenting as he is the expert and we the complete novices and we trusted him to guide us through the creative process with pleasing outcomes. Thank you. Charlotte

Really lovely guide, friendly funny and knowledgeable

I had so much fun, my friend and I left the workshop beaming and in great moods. We learnt a lot about terrariums and really enjoyed making our own. Relaxed & cheeky I'd definitely suggest this workshop.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience with a knowledgeable fun host. The group was very interactive which in part was down to the host breaking the ice between us. I would definitely do this again.

Sam was a great host, walking us through the steps, explaining why each piece is needed all whilst creating a safe, welcoming and incredibly fun workshop.

We had an excellent time, Sam was so helpful and welcoming on the phone, during the workshop and afterwards with all our questions. He was really accommodating of our 6 month old baby too. Sparks is a very cool venue. We had the best time and would strongly recommend this workshop to others.

This was a fabulous experience. First time learning about making terrarium and the host was extremely knowledgeable and imparted knowledge in an easily digestible way. The group size was perfect and enabled us all to communicate and have a laugh despite being strangers.

The entire experience was so enjoyable and Sam was so kind and accommodating. I was unfortunately late to the workshop but was luckily able to join late and I am so so grateful that I was still able to take part. Everything was so well thought out and I had a lot of fun. Sam was an amazing host and was able to explain the process to us in simple steps and demonstrate his knowledge in an easy to understand way and let us leave with advice on how to care for the plants long-term. Me and my partner are very proud of our creations :)

Incredible workshop that is 100% worth the money! Sam was so friendly and welcoming and made special accommodations for us to bring our little dog, Chip along. He made us feel welcome & comfortable the whole time and we learnt so much and left with a beautiful terrarium.
We have already had family ask us to take them as the experience was so good! 10/10 would recommend to anyone for a relaxing but super fun experience :)

Sam was the best host. He made a real effort to get to know the guests and make sure everyone had a fun time together. His plant knowledge was top notch and made sure we all walked away with beautiful terrariums. His passion for his job and the workshop really showed.

Sam was very welcoming and very keen to share his passion for plants. We had plenty of time to go through all the steps to set up our vivarium and understand all the underlying reasons for it. Very nice experience for a couple, a family or a group of friends

What a great workshop! Sam was a fantastic host. Entertaining and very knowledgeable. My daughter and I were so pleased with our terrarium. It has pride of place on the coffee table!!

We had a great time at the workshop. I’d never done anything like this before and Sam made the process fun, he also shared some handy tips on plant care. Terrariums are so nice to have in the home and having one you made yourself is even more rewarding :)

Super enjoyable experience, I was having so much fun it made 2 hours feel like 30 minute! The only downside of the night is that it had to end! would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone

It was a brilliant experience with a wonderful host and group of people, amazing value for money and left with some more goodies. Would recommend this to others. It was easy to follow and we had clear care instructions for our terrarium, also knowing we can contact the host anytime regarding our terrarium us really helpful and useful.

Great session and brilliant host

This was such a fantastic experience which was completely made by Sam the host! Sam not only made it fun but also taught us about looking after our terrariums. For someone who lacks creativity I assumed I wouldn’t like the end product but I absolutely love it! Sam talks you through each step and gives you tips to make it look amazing. Such a great weekend activity/ present for someone. Deciding how many terrariums I can have in one place now!!

Lovely experience with very friendly staff and people. Sam was very informative on how to make our terrariums and was always there if you needed any help! We had a nice selection of plants to use which were lush, they were really healthy too. Me and my girlfriend had the best time and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

We had a fantastic time with Sam @ Mila. It was a fantastic mix of interesting, informative and fun. There was a great atmosphere in our group and everyone looked to thoroughly enjoy themselves plus came home with a beautiful Terrarium!

Sam and Emma were so so nice! I felt super welcomed even though I didn't come in a pair. I really appreciated all the extra bits like the mulled wine, the tote, the notepad and pen and the choco coins!! Sam guessed where I was from as well which blew my mind and said "thank you" in bulgarian!! But yes I love my terrarium and learned a lot in this workshop. This is definitely one of the best Christmas gifts I've had (thanking my boyfriend) and yeah looking forward to visiting the new mila cafe!

Had a really good time. Sam made it really comfortable to do the experience with the other people. You're given the independence to make your terrarium your own but can ask anytime for help/advice or general questions! Was super fun and had a great evening. Would definitely go again!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience, the option to make 1 terrarium between two people was perfect for us as we don't have space for 2. The host and owner of Mila, Sam was a dream, the workshop was a perfect balance of information and fun! We loved making our terrarium along with him, whilst also having funny chats, nothing felt like a silly question. We also sat next to Emma who was very lovely, chatty and knowledgeable! Finally, loved the tote bag, notepad, choccy and mulled wine - a treat!
