Tropical Terrarium Workshop with MILA

Do you love nature, plants and all things weird and wonderful? Get one step closer to that dream indoor jungle with this awesome experience that is perfect for plant-lovers!

Join MILA in Quakers Friars (Cabot Circus) for a fascinating and fun terrarium-making workshop!

A tropical terrarium is a mini-ecosystem in a glass container, filled with plants, soil and rocks. Once they are closed, they don't usually need any watering because they will create their own atmosphere. You can think of a terrarium as a little greenhouse!

In this experience, you will be making your own tropical terrarium in a glass container. You will learn all about these fascinating little worlds as you are guided on creating one for yourself.

In this experience, you will:

  • Learn all about the care and theory behind making a terrarium
  • Be taught how to design and put your terrarium together
  • Pick from a selection of plants, soil and mosses
  • Make your terrarium, sit back and admire your hard work!
  • Take away tips on how to care for your terrarium in the future
  • Options to buy drinks from MILA's licensed bar to help things along

Once made, terrariums are very easy to care for and beautiful to look at. You'll be leaving with something you can take home, display and be mesmerised by for years to come!

This workshop is for all abilities, so no prior experience is necessary.

All materials and tools will be included.
