Pottymouth Workshop and Electric Bear join forces to bring you a night of clay and chess and pints!
In this immersive experience, participants will delve into the art of pottery while creating their very own half of a personalised chess set. This workshop combines the strategic depth of chess with the creative freedom of pottery, offering a unique and engaging activity for enthusiasts of both disciplines.
During the workshop, you will be guided through the process of hand-building each chess piece for your half of the set using clay, from the regal King and Queen to the valiant Knights and steadfast Pawns. With expert instruction and hands-on demonstrations, all clay abilities are welcome no previous experience needed!
Your finished item will be left with your hosts who will fire and glaze your work. You will be contacted to collect your completed chess set from your host within 3-5 weeks.

Meredith studied Artist Designer:Maker at Cardiff Met and works more sculpturally, often experimenting with surface textures and forms that push the boundaries of traditional ceramics.
Naomi studied Fine Art at UWE and has a background in throwing functional, wheel-thrown vessels—mugs, bowls, jugs—the kind of things you live with every day.
