Make a Ceramic Travel Cup

Create your own handmade ceramic travel cup in this fun and relaxed beginner pottery workshop at Wiper and True Taproom. Perfect for anyone looking to try pottery for the first time, this slab-building class will guide you through every step of the process, from rolling and shaping the clay to creating a functional travel cup you'll be proud to use.

Using the slab-building technique, you'll learn the essential skills needed to construct your ceramic travel cup, with plenty of expert guidance throughout the session. No previous pottery experience is required—this workshop is designed specifically for beginners, making it a great introduction to hand-building with clay.

Once your travel cup has been constructed, you'll have time to get creative by decorating it with a selection of coloured slips. Add patterns, illustrations, textures, or bold blocks of colour to make your piece completely unique.

After the workshop, your travel cup will be professionally dried, fired, glazed, and fired again, making it food-safe and ready for everyday use. Your finished piece will be available to collect a few weeks later.

As an added bonus, workshop guests receive 15% off drinks at the Wiper and True Taproom throughout the event, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy great craft beer or soft drinks while getting creative.
