Had 1st of 3 lessons so far and thoroughly enjoying this learning experience
Alison was extremely helpful and patient. I found the experience friendly, sociable and would recommend to others who enjoy being creative! Thank you.
After just one session, I feel much more confident with my sewing machine. Alison talked us through setting up our own machines, then we moved on to simple sewing, trying different settings and features on the machine. By the end of the session we had all produced samples of several different kinds of seam. The handouts were useful and hot drinks were included. It was a really enjoyable few hours and I'm looking forward to the next session.
After the first session I've gone from clueless to having the skills and confidence to operate my sewing machine to thread it and do basic seams. I have a patchwork quilt project that I started years ago but never had the confidence to finish and in the one weekend since I started this course I'm close to completing it, this course has really motivated me. I'm looking forward to the next sessions very much. The tutor is great and it's small groups in a cosy space that's perfect for the course.
