You'll learn the very basics of knitting in this half-day workshop at Gloucester Road's Flo-Jo fabrics.
In this 2.5hr masterclass you’ll learn:
- What the heck all the yarn weights and needle sizes are about
- How to cast on and get started
- How to work a knit and a purl stitch
- How to cast off and finish your work
The cost of your ticket covers needles, yarn, handouts, tea, coffee, and biscuits. So all you need to do is bring yourself and some enthusiasm too! Leave the rest to your wonderful hosts. You'll be knitting your own wardrobe and Christmas decorations before you know it...

What to expect:
Introduction to yarn weights, needle sizes, and knitting basics.
Hands-on guidance for casting on, knitting, purling, and casting off.
2.5-hour workshop at Flo-Jo Fabrics, Gloucester Road.
All materials provided: needles, yarn, and handouts.

Whether that’s colourwork, lace knitting, adjusting knitting patterns or anything else. Jacki firmly believes nothing in knitting is quite as scary as it seems - she promises!
The Woolly Badger runs knitting workshops in Bristol, both online and in-person. Jacki's friendly and fuss-free approach creates a nurturing environment where guests can build their confidence knitting and learn new skills. 10% of all Woolly Badger sales go to Bluebell Care, a perinatal mental health charity based in Bristol.
