Learn how to use a sewing machine

Do you want to learn how use a sewing machine but don't know where to start? Would you like to get into bigger sewing projects but feel like you're missing some skills? This one-to-one session is tailored to your experience in sewing and will get you the skill and confidence you need to get on your sewing journey.

This session is most suitable for beginners in machine sewing as well as those with some experience looking to expand their skill set. You can either book this as a one-to-one session or as a group of two if you'd like to learn with a friend. For a group of two, it is most beneficial if the two people have similar prior experience.

What to expect:

• A sewing session tailored to your experience
• Get confident using your sewing machine
• Get the sewing skills you need for future projects

This is a private session that can take place at your home if you already have a sewing machine. Or you can come to Meret's Sustainable Fashion Workshop at Sparks Bristol to learn on her machines. You can also bring your own machine to Sparks if you prefer. (To get the most out of this session, if you have a sewing machine, your host Meret recommends that you learn on that one)
